MINUTES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Held in the Village Hall, All Cannings on Wednesday 31st July 2013
PRESENT: Cllr. L.Sharpe, (in the chair),
Cllr. D. Tilley, Cllr. A. Gray, Cllr. K. Gay,
Cllr. Robbie Daw.
APOLOGIES: Cllr. S. Butcher, Cllr. P. Whitehead (WC).
Two members of the public attended.
Cindy Luffman advised that video tapes and an excess of books were being left in the book exchange at the telephone box.
MINUTES
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 26th June, having been circulated were confirmed as a true record and signed by the chairman.

REPORTS
Village Community Store: Nothing to report.
PCC: Churchyard: James Long (Masons) Ltd and M. J. Sly quoted for war memorial renovation, £580.00 (inc. vat). James Long awarded the contract to carry out repairs. Timescale for war memorial funding could be from one to six months. PC decided to proceed so that renovation could be completed in time for Armistice Day. Trees in the churchyard are the responsibility of the church rather than the parish council. Bench has been offered to PCC, to be placed in the churchyard. Grass cutting satisfactory.
Cemetery: Bench has been purchased. Letter of thanks sent to the school for their contribution of £200.00 towards the cost of the bench.
Village Green: Further plaque received, to be installed at the Green. Hole has appeared, filled in by Cllr. Daw.
Village Hall/Pre-School: Possibility of summerhouse replacing the shed.
Glebe Field: Contractor to be asked to remove garden waste from the field. Letter to be sent to residents with property backing on to glebe field will be asked to refrain from dumping garden waste.
All Cannings Primary School: On vacation.
CPRE: All Cannings has won the Medium Size Village competition and will now go forward to the County Round. Request for map improvement and painting of the telephone box.
Glebe Land: Request from Simon Collier to remove overhanging branches at his property.
Correspondence from Claire Perry MP: Swindon branch first in line regarding train electrified line with Bedwyn next in line. Pewsey to Westbury line has no business case for electrification.

Allington Dairy decision to be made early August.

Application Ref: 13/01938/FUL
Proposal: Revision of E/11/0296/FUL: New roof to garage converted to additional residential accommodation; amendments to existing link; new thatched porch; new front terrace door and walled area.
At: South Cottage 2 Greenhouse Road All Cannings Devizes. No objections
Long Barrow Project: Tim Daw outlined his proposals to install a Long Barrow along the Allington side of the Woodway track for the interment of urns containing the ashes of religious and non-religious persons.
Bridleway past piggery does not warrant re-direction order. No access problem.
