MINUTES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Held in the Village Hall, All Cannings on Wednesday 24th April 2013
PRESENT: Cllr. C. Butcher, (in the chair),

APOLOGIES: Cllr. Lionel Grundy (WC).
Prospective candidate for Wiltshire Council, Philip Whitehead and one member of the public attended.
MINUTES
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 27th March, having been circulated were confirmed as a true record and signed by the chairman.
MATTERS ARISING

REPORTS
Village Community Store: Nothing to report.
PCC: Confirmation that the faculty for the repair of a tombstone has been applied for by Peter Griffin, PCC.
Cemetery: Cemetery gates have been cleaned and repainted by Pete Fell.
Repairs to railings to be finalised. Commemorative bench to be investigated.
Village Green: Registration as a QE11 Field confirmed. Plaque received, to be installed at the Green. Ian Teasdale has volunteered to organise litter picking at the land at the top of the green and in the village in general.
Village Hall/Pre-School: Proposed draft plans to include a wet room for showers.
Glebe Field: Nothing to report.
All Cannings Primary School: Drop off point at school working successfully.
Contracts: Grass cutting in the village is satisfactory.
Wiltshire Council: Unitary and Parish Elections to be held on Thursday
2 May 2013.
CORRESPONDENCE
Council Elections: There will not be an election held in May for All Cannings Parish Council as the number of candidates is less than the number of seats available. There will however be an election for the Wiltshire Council Urchfont and the Cannings Unitary Division.
Dairy Farm at Allington: No further correspondence received regarding planning meeting at Wiltshire Council.
Summer Fair: Request from the PTFA at All Cannings School for permission to use the Glebe Field for car parking space, also for some physical activities on the Village Green. School to be responsible for any damage that may occur.
Footpath: Correspondence received from Mrs. Lisi Ashbridge stating that villagers are concerned regarding the condition of the footpath along the edge of the Moor. Clerk has had a meeting with the farmer who has confirmed that the path will be restored when all planting etc. has been completed.

Proposal: Fell one Elder tree, fell tall Pine, fell Cryptomera japonica & fell Handkerchief tree. Fell two Leylandi-T5. T7- Selective ptuning of trees
T6-Remove prune some branches of the Copper Beech.
