ALL CANNINGS BURIAL GROUND AND CHURCHYARD AREA FOR BURIAL OF CREMATED REMAINS

 

TABLE OF FEES

Fees, Payments and Sums fixed and settled under Section 214

and Schedule 26 of the Local Government Act, 1972.

The fees, payments and sums set out below apply where the person to be interred or in respect of whom the right of grant is, or had been at some stage before his/her death, an inhabitant or parishioner on the electoral roll of the Parish of All Cannings.  In the case of a still-born child, where the parents (or one of them) are, or at the time of the interment were, such inhabitants or parishioners.

 

In all other cases, the fees, payments and sums will be doubled with the exception of those where exclusive right of burial in the grave was acquired at the single fee.

 

The Parish Council exercises its right to consider each application for burial in the Cemetery or the Garden of Remembrance.

 

PART I -  INTERMENTS

 

The fees indicated under the various headings do not include charges for labour, or the digging of the graves (this work is incorporated in undertakers’ responsibilities).

 

For the interment in an earthen grave:

 

·         Of the body of a still-born child, or of a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed one year                                                                       no charge

 

·         Of the body of a child whose age at the time of death exceeded one year, but did not exceed twelve years                                                          no charge

 

·         Of the body of a person whose age at the time of death exceeded twelve years

£50.00

 

For the interment of the cremated remains of a person in an earthen grave measuring two feet by two feet in the Churchyard                                                                      £50.00

 

For the interment of the cremated remains of a person in an already existing grave

                                                                                                                       £50.00

For the interment of the cremated remains of a person in a grave for which exclusive right of burial has been granted                                                                      £50.00

 

For the scattering of ashes on a particular grave space                                 no charge

 

PART II – EXCLUSIVE RIGHT OF BURIAL

 

For the exclusive right for a period of 99 years of burial in a single or double grave in the Cemetery per person                                                          £250.00

 

For the exclusive right for a period of 99 years of burial of cremated remains in an earthen grave within a space measuring two feet by two feet in the Churchyard  £100.00

 

The fees shown in Part II include the cost of the Deed of Grant.

 

 

PART III – MONUMENTS, GRAVESTONES, TABLETS ETC.

 

For the right to erect or place on a grave

 

A headstone not exceeding three feet in height

Grave Space number to be inscribed on reverse side of headstone              £100.00

 

For the placing on a particular grave of a vase not exceeding twelve

 inches (30cm) in height                                                                                no charge

 

For the placing of a tablet not exceeding eighteen inches by eighteen

inches (45cm x 45cm) on the cremated remains area of the Churchyard     £80.00

 

For additional inscription on a tablet or headstone, per inscription       £30.00

 

No further approvals for kerbstones will be granted.

At a meeting of the All Cannings Parish Council held at the Village Hall, All Cannings

on the 22nd February 2017, it was resolved that the fees, payments and sums set out in the foregoing lists now submitted be adopted, signed and sealed by the Chair and two members of the Parish Council and be payable with effect from 1st April 2017 in place of the fees adopted 29th November 2006.
