MINUTES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Held in the Village Hall, All Cannings on Wednesday 23 February 2011
PRESENT: Mr. T. Daw, (in the chair),
Mr. C .Butcher, Mrs. S. Butcher, Mrs. P. O’Neill, Mr. A. Simpson.
APOLOGIES: Mrs. L. Miedzianowski-Sinclair, Mr. L. Grundy (WC).
Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 26 January having been circulated were confirmed as a true record and signed by the chairman.
Parish Council Vacancy: Doug Tilley was co-opted on to the Parish Council.
Doug was welcomed to the council by the chairman and given the necessary forms to complete.
Churchyard Path: Tim Daw has carried out some remedial repairs to the path,
to make it safe.
Playsafety/ROSPA Report: Problem has arisen with chain links on swings. Tim Daw has carried out the repairs. Many thanks to Tim for carrying out both repairs.
REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES
Village Community Store: Equipment for software for the till and back office computer system has been installed.
PCC: Churchyard: Footpath to Church repaired.
Cemetery: Nothing to report.
Village Green: ROSPA report discussed. Chain links on swings repaired, to be checked every six months.
Village Hall: Pepi O’Neill has investigated the possibility of a souvenir for each of the children, to celebrate the Royal Wedding. It was decided to hold over any expense until the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations next year. It was proposed by Tim Daw that the mown area of the Glebe Field be designated as a midi-sized football pitch. The Parish Council agreed that this proposal should be progressed. The pitch to be designated as a celebration of the forthcoming Royal Wedding.
Glebe Field/Allotments: Annual payment for the lease for the allotment area now paid. Lease agreement payment made for the remaining part of the Glebe Field.
Kennet and Avon: Nothing to report.
Street Naming: They are asking for recreation grounds to be nominated to become QE11 Fields. Tim Daw to investigate the possibility of the Village Green being nominated to become a QE11 Field, to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
Work to Tree at the Glebe: Quote received of £350.00, for twenty percent reduction of the tree from Steve Parker. Permission was given to proceed with the work.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust: Plans for the 2011Sarsen Trail are currently being made.
We have been advised that the ecvnt will impact the parishioners of All Cannings.

Proposal: Two storey and single storey extensions (amendment to E/09/0163/FUL).

Application for Work to Trees
Application Ref: E/11/0098/TCA
At: Bramble House Wycombe Lane All Cannings.
Proposal: Work to trees at the property to consist of the removal of two main branches of an apple tree which has previously fallen, leaving one main trunk, and the felling of six self seeded beech trees situated behind the house.
